Monty G. Miller, Principal

Monty is the owner of International Performance Solutions, Ltd., a consulting practice that engages in training, development and organizational change. He has facilitated the building of organizations and people development since 1991, focusing in four areas: creating and implementing people development strategies and tactics, executive coaching, strategic planning, and post merger and alliance integration.

From July 2007 to present, Monty supports a grassroots advocacy organization. Role is to help producers channel their passion to create an organization where their voices will be heard on the importance that modern agricultural practices play in creating safe, nutritious and affordable foods in environmentally sustainable methods. In addition to Dr. Miller’s work in International Performance Solutions, he is a professor at Colorado Technical University in the Doctor of Management program. He mentors student research and writing in several concentrations: Organizational Development and Change, Global Leadership, Society and Sustainability, Emerging Media and Homeland Security. Monty also facilitates in his community Restorative Justice and Community Conference for first time offenders.

Monty’s doctorate is in Organizational Change from Pepperdine University, and his MBA and Bachelors of Science are from Colorado State University. His doctorate was completed in 2000 with a dissertation on: Case Study of Building Relational Capital in a Transcultural Strategic Alliance. The case study involved an Indian family business in India and a US multinational business. He has published journal articles on the use of appreciative inquiry in building sustainable organizations in agriculture.

Growing up on a 4th generation crop and livestock farm in Eastern Colorado, Monty has a deep appreciation for the humanitarian role agriculture plays. A pivotal event in Monty’s life was being an exchange student in Brazil in 1974-75 and witnessing the challenges of food production to environmental sequences. Monty has worked in developing organizations to support agricultural production in: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines, P.R. China, Singapore, Spain, Thailand and the United States.

A partial list of clients include: AFACT, Alta Genetics, Bausch and Lomb Surgical, Butler Schein Animal Health, Cargill, Cenex Harvest States, Economic Development Board of Singapore, Embrex, Monsanto, Merial, Nestlé Purina, Renessen, Rosen and University of Wyoming. Monty resides in Estes Park, Colorado.
